Fusebox – Love Island Game Cultural Consultation

We partnered with Fusebox Games to enhance the inclusivity of the Official Love Island Game, ensuring it authentically spoke to LGBTQ+, Black, Asian, and Multi-Ethnic audiences. This project focused on game content, character representation, and in-app dialogue, creating a more culturally resonant experience.

Client Challenge

Fusebox wanted to improve engagement and representation within the Love Island Game, ensuring that diverse audiences felt truly seen and heard. The challenge was to refine language, scenarios, and character development to better reflect the real experiences of these communities.

Our Approach

  • Influencer-Led Focus Groups – Organised a consultation panel with 6 LGBTQ+ and Multi-Ethnic influencers, providing direct community insights on game content.

  • Cultural Sensitivity Analysis – Reviewed in-game dialogue, interactions, and character development, ensuring authenticity and relatability.

  • In-App Experience Enhancement – Implemented meaningful content updates, improving player immersion and emotional connection.

Key Results

Authentic in-game changes – Ensured that the game’s content better resonated with its diverse player base.

Enhanced player experience – Improved representation led to deeper engagement.

Strengthened brand credibility – Positioned Fusebox as a leader in inclusive gaming.

This campaign was about more than just a game, it was about building an inclusive digital world where every player feels represented.
